IBKR Interactive Brokers is a securities company that supports trading in foreign exchange, commodities, and cryptocurrencies (excluding mainland China residents). By registering with IBKR through the invitation link (https://ibkr.com), you can receive up to $1000 worth of IBKR stocks.
Click on the invitation link above and click "Open Account".
Enter your email address, customize your username and password, select your nationality, and create a username and password. Then click Next.
Choose to open a personal account, enter your contact information, and note that Last Name refers to your surname, First Name refers to your given name, and Middle Name should be left blank.
For address information, provide your credit card billing address. For personal information, provide your ID card information, and for the tax identification number, enter your ID card number.
Choose the national ID recommended by IBKR and enter your ID card number and expiration date.
Provide accurate employment information or select "student." For the source of wealth, students/unemployed individuals can choose "allowance," while employees can choose "work income."
Set up security questions and consider recording them in a memo for future reference.
For account type, generally choose "margin," and set a reasonable income and asset value. Select trading objectives and permissions as needed.
It is recommended to select the stock yield enhancement program to increase stock returns. Select "no" for all regulatory information.
Choose China for the treaty eligibility to enjoy tax benefits. Enter your electronic signature and click Continue, making sure to match the case and spacing of your signature.
Check the box to agree to all agreements and disclosures, and complete your electronic signature by clicking Continue.
After completing all the registration information above, submit photos of the front and back of your ID card to verify your identity, submit a credit card bill to verify your residential address, and receive a verification code on your mobile phone. Finally, click Create Deposit to activate your account. You can choose to deposit funds through wire transfer (SWIFT) for your nationality, SEPA for EU transfers, or ACH for US transfers. It is recommended to use Wise for ACH transfers to IBKR.
Note that IBKR deposits only support transfers from personal accounts with the same name. Transfers from accounts with different names may result in frozen funds. It takes approximately three business days to activate the account after the first deposit is made.
